RIGA: Twelve projects, including nine feature films and three series, in various stages, from the Baltics as well as Eastern and Central Europe have been selected for the 4th coproduction market of the Riga International Film Festival (RIGA IFF, 16 – 26 October 2025).
The line-up for the fourth edition of RIGA IFF SHOWCASE, co-production market of Riga International Film Festival (16–26 October) has been announced. This year 12 projects – 9 feature films and 3 series in various stages from the Baltics and Eastern as well as Central Europe – will take part, seeking new partnerships and competing for the main prize: a EUR 5,000 monetary award from TV3 and production services from BBposthouse / BBrental worth EUR 10,000.

Region 23-09-2025The two industry events European Work in Progress (EWIP) and International Film Distribution Summit (IFDS) will take place in Hamburg for the first time. From 29 September to 2 October 2025, European films and projects will be presented as part of the Filmfest Hamburg Industry Days, and filmmakers will be brought into contact with potential partners from the industry. The implementation of environmentally friendly measures also plays a role in the organisation of these events. “The green transformation has long since begun in the film industry,” says Torsten Frehse, Managing Director of EWIP and IFDS. “We strive to minimise and further optimise the environmental impact of our events.” A sustainability strategy is being developed to ensure that energy and resources are used as efficiently as possible.
