The biggest industry event in Poland, Polish Days, will take place from 15th till 17th August in the frame of 21st New Horizons IFF. During Polish Days, 20  films at various stages of production will be presented to the international film industry representatives. 

The following grants were announced by the Film Centre of Montenegro on 15 July 2021.

As one of MIDPOINT Institute’s series-oriented training programs, Writers’ Room is targeting writers and creative producers without a particular project in development whose ambition is to start their careers as writers' room members or showrunners.

Srđan Dragojević’s fiction feature Heavens Above, which is a Studio Dim minority co-production, with Darija Kulenović Gudan as co-producer, will have its world premiere on 5th August in the International Competition, while the world premiere of fiction short Penalty Shot, directed by Rok Biček, is scheduled for 11th August, in the new competition programme, Auteur Shorts (Corti d'autore).

Feature debut Murina directed by Antoneta Alamat Kusijanović to screen at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in the Contemporary World Cinema programme, which offers compelling stories with a global perspective. This year’s TIFF is held 9th – 18th September.

Karlovy Vary IFF will honour Ethan Hawke, an American actor, director, and writer, who will receive the Festival President's Award at its 55th edition taking place August 20 28, 2021. The Award is given to actors, directors, and producers who have contributed in a fundamental way to the development of contemporary world cinema.

Kids Kino Industry and Cinekid for Professionals are joining forces to launch Producers LINK, a newly established programme for emerging producers of children’s content.
