BUCHAREST: Bogdan Mureșanu’s debut feature The New Year That Never Came / Anul Nou care n-a fost, has been sold by Cercamon to Imagine in Benelux and Flamingo in Spain.

POTSDAM: The third edition of the international master's programme European Film Business and Law LL.M. | MBA has started, organised by the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF, the University of Potsdam and the Erich Pommer Institut.

TBILISI: An American film benefiting from the Film in Georgia programme is currently shooting in Georgia. Its 36 shooting days in the country included some military-themed scenes filmed at the Tbilisi International Airport on 21 and 22 October 2024.

CANNES: NFI World Sales, the international sales division of the National Film Institute – Hungary, is participating in MIPCOM in Cannes (21 – 24 October 2024) with a handful of TV productions including feature films, series, TV films, animated productions and documentaries.

LJUBLJANA: Six contemporary films made in Austria, Germany and Switzerland are screened at the Slovenian Cinematheque from 21 to 25 October 2024 as part of the annual Days of German-Language Film.

Submissions for the 24th edition of the Transilvania International Film Festival are now open! The festival is set to take place from 13 to 22 June 2025, in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

VILNIUS: The Vilnius Short Film Festival has been included by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on its list of film festivals qualifying for Oscar consideration.

TALLINN: Eighteen titles, including 11 world premieres and seven international premieres, will vie in the main competition of the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF), which will be held 8 – 24 November 2024.
