RIGA: The list of Latvian classical films available for streaming on National Film Centre of Latvia’s portal has been supplemented with new titles. Currently, 30 titles including 18 feature films, six documentaries and six animated films can be watched worldwide free of charge with subtitles in various languages.

BELGRADE: The first edition of the Fine Line Film Festival will be held 19 - 20 November 2022 in Belgrade. The festival will screen 13 short films from countries worldwide including Serbia, Slovenia and Croatia.

BUDAPEST: Little Palestine, Diary of a Siege by Abdallah Al-Khatib received the award for best human rights film in the International Competition of the 19th Verzió International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival, running 8 – 20 November 2022.

WARSAW: The second edition of the Heart of Europe International TV Festival organised by the Polish Television (TVP) is currently taking place in Warsaw 14 – 17 November 2022. This first festival dedicated to TV production from Central and Eastern Europe is launching the first edition of the Co-production Forum.

PRAGUE: The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival is launching a special event in Prague with legendary films. The first edition of KVIFF Classics will be held in cinemas Světozor and Ponrepo from 1 to 3 December 2022 and it will open with a digitally restored version of Vera Chytilova’s Daisies.

BUCHAREST: The Turkish company Dogan Media International has received the green light from the National Audiovisual Council of Romania to take over the audiovisual licence of the Bucuresti TV channel and to rebrand it into Kanal D2.

BUDAPEST: Sony Pictures has confirmed on Twitter that the Gran Turismo film directed by Neill Blomkamp and starring Archie Madekwe, Djimon Hounsou, Geri Halliwell, David Harbour, Orlando Bloom and Darren Barnet, is currently shooting at the Hungaroring in Hungary.

COTTBUS: Juraj Lerotić’s debut feature Safe Place, a coproduction between Croatia and Slovenia, was awarded Best Film in the Feature Film Competition of the 32nd edition of FilmFestival Cottbus (8 – 13 November 2022).

COTTBUS: The winning cocoPITCH and cocoWIP projects of the 24th edition of connecting cottbus were announced during a ceremony on 10 November 2022.
