The 26th Ji.hlava IDFF has announced its winners. The award for the most notable international documentary film was granted to 07:15 – Blackbird by Judith Auffray, the best Czech documentary is Kapr Code by Lucie Králová. The jury of the Testimonies section appreciated Into the Weeds: Dewayne "Lee" Johnson vs Monsanto Company by Canadian director Jennifer Baichwal. The award for original approach went to Spanish director Javier Codesal for his film Greater Gospel. The Contribution to World Cinema award was granted to Slovak director Dušan Hanák.

BUCHAREST: Teambuilding directed by Matei Dima, Cosmin Nedelcu and Alex Coteț, is currently the Romanian film with the most admissions in the last 30 years in local cinemas. The film produced and released by Vidra Productions on 30 September 2022 is topping the general charts with 3.16 m EUR / 15,561,881 RON and 668,629 admissions.

BUDAPEST: The Verzió International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival has announced the selection of its 19th edition, which will be held in Budapest in November 2022. Ten films, including Croatian Bigger than Trauma by Vedrana Pribačić and the Polish minority coproduction Angels of Sinjar by Hanna Polak, are running in the International Competition.

The 26th Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival has been officially launched and its opening evening featured the presentation of the first festival awards. The best Short Joy section film is selected by the online viewers of DAFilms.com, this year going to Blue Bed by Belgian director Lize Cuveele. This year, Ji.hlava presents almost four hundred films and the festival will continue until October 30.

WARSAW: Pawel Pawlikowski's new film, The Island (working title), will star Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara, and it will be a British/Italian/Polish coproduction with Ewa Puszczynska coproducing through Extreme Emotions.
