PRAGUE: One Life, a biopic of Nicholas Winton, who helped rescue almost 699 children on the eve of WWII (including the film director Karel Reisz), is currently shooting in Prague. The film stars Sir Anthony Hopkins and Johnny Flynn, and it is directed by Aisling Walsh.

VILNIUS: Twelve projects have been selected for the 10th edition of the Baltic Pitching Forum, set to take place in Vilnius 5 – 8 October 2022. The forum welcomes participants from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, alongside guest country Norway, and it will also provide open lectures on short film production, coproduction and sustainability.

TBILISI: Adjaranet and iMovies, two of the most popular streaming websites in Georgia, which were acting illegally, were shut down on 23 August 2022. Their closing came a week after cinema chain Cavea announced its new legal streaming service Cavea+.

ZAGREB: Safe Place / Sigurno mjesto, the first feature film by Croatian director Juraj Lerotić, has been acquired by Cercamon. The film is a Croatian coproduction produced in collaboration with Slovenia.

PRAGUE: Rupert Sanders' The Crow reboot is currently shooting in the capital of the Czech Republic. The film stars Bill Skarsgard, FKA Twigs (Tahliah Debrett Barnett) and Danny Huston.

RIGA: The Baltic Music Video competition will return to the 9th edition of the Riga International Film Festival (13 – 23 October 2022) after a year break. Eighteen music videos from the Baltic States will compete for the Riga IFF Silver Grass Snake Award.

The ninth Riga International Film Festival (RIGA IFF) announces the first of its upcoming competitions from this year's festival. The BALTIC MUSIC VIDEO screening will take place in person at Splendid Palace on 21 October with the participation of musicians and filmmakers. The competition returns to the festival programme after a year's break and this screening promises to be one of the most unusual and unrestrained events of the festival. 18 music videos from the Baltic States will be competing for the RIGA IFF Silver Grass Snake award and a cash prize of 1,000 EUR.
