BERLIN: The 11th European Arthouse Cinema Day has released the trailer for its 11th edition on 22 November 2026, and is welcoming cinemas across the world to join as registration is still open.
In 2026, Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) will present a strong selection of documentaries in its two competition programmes with Doc@PÖFF International showcasing 11 world premieres from around the globe. In addition to the documentary programmes, the festival also announced its lineup of Special Screenings.

ZAGREB: Nine TV series projects in development have been selected for the sixth edition of Series Rough Pitch – The Balkan Way, which will take place online on 30 October 2026. For the first time, the initiative opens doors to Malta and Switzerland.

Submissions for the 26th edition of the Transilvania International Film Festival are now open! The festival will take place between 11th and 21st of June 2027 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, with submissions accepted until February 1st 2027. Submissions are made online through the Eventival platform. Producers, sales agents and distributors holding the film’s screening rights can submit their films online via Eventival.

Works in Progress, showcasing films currently in production or post-production and seeking sales agents or festival premieres, introduces 16 promising projects across three categories: Baltic Event Works in Progress, International Works in Progress, and Just Film Works in Progress. The lineup features both debut filmmakers and acclaimed directors presenting their latest works. The selection brings together projects, from intimate psychological dramas to imaginative adventures for younger audiences. The films explore family relations, freedom, grief and belonging.
LIMASSOL: For the second year in a row, Christos Artemiou won the 1st Prize for Best Cypriot Short Film at the International Short Film Festival of Cyprus (ISFFC). Last year he won with his debut film Prelude to a Supernova, while this year he took it with Kinds of Fathers. The 16th ISFFC screened 33 titles in the International Competition and 13 titles in its National Competition from 10 to 16 October 2026 at the Rialto Theatre in Limassol.
