After a year’s hiatus following the sudden death of its founder, Branko Karabatić, the Split Film Festival (STFF) returns under new leadership, dedicated to upholding its tradition of uncompromising artistic and auteur film and video. To mark its 30th edition, the festival will present 57 films and videos from 29 countries across the globe, ranging from Japan to Peru.

Leading film industry event, to be held in Vilnius from 7-10 October 2025, reveals the 12 short film projects from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and – guest country – Hungary that will pitch.

During the Venice Festival critics will be able to rate any feature length films screening in the Main Competition, Orizzonti and Critics Week  (1 to 5 stars). The results will be published each day during the festival on www.filmneweurope.com.

TALLINN: The 9th edition of the Baltic Film Days festival is being held in Estonia on 26 and 27 August 2025, celebrating the richness and uniqueness of Baltic cinema.

BERLIN: The 22nd edition of CICAE Arthouse Cinema Training (ACT) welcomed in Berlin, 18 - 24 August 2025, 48 participants from 22 countries and five continents for seven days of learning, growing, and fostering connection across the (arthouse) world. It was the largest edition to date.

HAMBURG: The European Work in Progress (EWIP) has announced the six international jury members of this year’s 8th edition. In cooperation with Filmfest Hamburg and MOIN Film Fund Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein, EWIP will present outstanding European film projects and bring filmmakers in contact with important industry partners as part of Filmfest Hamburg Industry Days from 29 September to 1 October 2025.

The 20th annual Cinematik International Film Festival will be a grand six-day celebration of quality domestic and foreign cinematography.
