COTTBUS: Ivan Tverdovskiy won the main prize at the 30th FilmFestival Cottbus for an unprecedented third time, this year for the Russian/Estonian/Italian/UK coproduction Conference.
BERLIN: Tomas Vinterberg’s Another Round won the European Film 2020 award at the European Film Awards, held on 12 December 2020. Alexander Nanau’s Romania/Luxembourg coproduction collective won the European Documentary 2020 award, and the Italian/Polish film Sole by Carlo Sironi won the European Discovery 2020 – Prix FIPRESCI.
The following grants were announced by the Bulgarian National Film Center on 7 December 2020.
This week True Story, a collaborative project between the Institute of Documentary Film and Film New Europe, speaks to Hungarian documentary makers Asia Dér, Sara Haragonics, who speak about their documentary Her Mothers.

History Film Festival is a unique international festival of historical documentary films which will take place in Rijeka (Croatia) from September 14 to 18, 2021. History Film Festival aims at offering viewers and film experts an insight into contemporary film and TV production of historical documentary films, at the same time providing a place where film professionals can meet and share their creative ideas for future projects.

Events at RIGA IFF 2020 brought together many film industry professionals, experts and cinema-goers – both in person and online. As of today, video recordings of the most engaging public discussions, lectures and interviews have been compiled into an archive that can be found on the festival website.
In the autumn of 2021, the festival will once again invite audiences to enjoy an extensive program dedicated to both cinema lovers and industry professionals from 14 to 24 October.
