PARIS: The Czech-In Film Festival, the only showcase in France dedicated to Czech and Slovak cinema, returns for its 11th edition at Cinéma Saint-André des Arts and the Quartier Latin Film Library in Paris from 16 to 19 October 2025.

HAMBURG: The 4th edition of the International Film Distribution Summit (IFDS), wrapped up on 2 October 2025 in Hamburg, after relevant keynotes, panels, master classes and informal talks regarding the development of new and concrete visions of film distribution.

HAMBURG The 8th edition of the established industry event European Work in Progress (EWIP) culminated in a festive award ceremony on 30 October 2025 at its new location in Hamburg. In cooperation with FILMFEST HAMBURG and MOIN Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein, EWIP took place for the first time as part of FILMFEST HAMBURG INDUSTRY DAYS.

SARAJEVO: The documentary Blum: Masters of Their Own Destiny by the Academy Award- nominee Jasmila Žbanić has been chosen as Bosnia and Herzegovina’s candidate for the 98th Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences award in the Best International Feature Film category.

BRATISLAVA: Madrid-based sales agent Onza Distribution has acquired the 8-episode procedural crime series Neuer from Slovak production company KFS Production.

ZAGREB: The acclaimed Croatian director Zvonimir Jurić is currently in postproduction with Small Things / Male stvari, a feature coproduction between Croatia, Slovenia, and Serbia. It’s one of the 27 projects selected from over 240 applications for the 8th European Work in Progress (EWIP), which is held for the first time in Hamburg 29 September - 1 October 2025.

PODGORICA: The Tower of Strength / Obraz by Nikola Vukcević has been chosen as Montenegro’s candidate for the 98th Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences award in the Best International Feature Film category.
