Strasbourg, 18.10.2021 – The Council of Europe’s Eurimages Fund and Montreal’s Festival du nouveau cinéma are pleased to reveal the name of the winner of the sixth edition of the prestigious Audentia Award for Best Female Director: Florence Miailhe for her first feature-length animation The Crossing. The film about two children on the move, supported by Eurimages, previously received the Prize for the Best Screenplay at the Angers European First Film Festival in 2010 and Jury Distinction at the Annecy Festival in 2021.

WARSAW: Romanian/Czech/Latvian Miracle / Miracol by Bogdan George Apetri has received the Grand Prix in the International Competition of the 37th Warsaw Film Festival, 8-17 October 2021. The award for best film in the 1-2 Competition went to Hive / Zgjoi by Blerta Basholli, a coproduction between Kosovo, Switzerland, North Macedonia and Albania.

19 films from 9 countries to compete in the international short film programme New Baltic Cinema
Festivals 01-10-2021The European Film Forum Scanorama presents the 12th edition of the short film competition New Baltic Cinema (NBC), introducing young film talents from nine Baltic Sea Region countries. Traditionally, the Lithuanian programme nominees were invited to NBC breakfast. The short film selection will be shown at this year's Scanorama on November 12–14.
It will offer 25 competition films, exhibitions, talks as well as a popular family day
BRNO/CZECH REPUBLIC - The 47th edition of EKOFILM the international film festival with an environmental theme starts in exactly one week. Visitors can look forward to twenty-five competing documentaries from all over the world from 20th to 23rd October. The festival will open with a panel titled Green Architecture: A Place to Live in the 21st Century, musicians in the streets of Brno dressed in EKOFILM T-shirts and a grand opening concert by the Brass Avenue band. There will also be an accompanying programme full of discussions and workshops, a programme for schools and a popular family day.
