KRAKOW: The court in Krakow adjourned until 22 May 2015 the hearing during which it will decide whether to extradite Roman Polański to the USA.
ROME: Numerous European filmmakers launched a call asking the public authorities of Europe, the national regulatory parties for cinema, the European Film Agency Directors (EFAD), as well as television broadcasters for affirmative measures in terms of distribution, broadcasting and promotion of European films.

PLZEN: The Finale Plzen Film Festival has announced it's full lineup. This year Slovak films are also in the competition for the main award, the Golden Kingfisher. There will also be a retrospective including highlights of Czech cinematography and live discussions with filmmakers.
Submissions are now open for Ex Oriente Film 2015, the year-long international workshop supporting the development and funding of creative documentary films from Central and Eastern Europe.
ZAGREB: Croatian director Damian Nenadic is shooting Days of Madness, a documentary about patients suffering from mental disorders and the state of medical care in Croatia. Maja and Mladen are suffering from different mental disorders, they do not consider themselves mentally ill. Unlike other ‘patients’ mainly following strict medical advice that doesn't actually help them much, Maja and Mladen take their lives into their own hands.
VILNIUS: Lithuanian telco Teo has launched a new TV movie service called Cinema Club. Teo is owned by TeliaSonera.
KRAKOW: The acclaimed Estonian animated filmmaker Priit Pärn will be honoured with the Dragon of Dragons award for his entire creative output at the 55th Krakow Film Festival.
BRATISLAVA: A new showcase for domestic production, the Slovak Film Week, is being launched by the Slovak Film and Television Academy (SFTA). This year it will be held from 13 to 19 April.
