BOX OFFICE: Successful Domestic Release for Romanian Horror The Goat and Her Three Kids
Romania 02-11-2022BUCHAREST: Victor Canache’s independently produced debut feature The Goat and Her Three Kids / Capra cu trei iezi has landed fourth in the weekly charts (24 – 30 October 2022) and risen the number of domestic films in weekly Top 10 in Romania to three, which is an unprecedented success.
TALLINN: A total of 20 projects in production or postproduction and looking for sales agents or festivals will be presented at three Works In Progress showcases during the Industry@Tallinn &; Baltic Event, which will be held 20 – 25 November 2022 within the Tallinn Black Nights FF (11 – 27 November 2022).
BERLIN: Emily Atef, Lukas Dhont, Alice Diop, Valerio Mastandrea, Pilar Palomero and Agnieszka Smoczynska are the ambassadors for the 7th European Arthouse Cinema Day, organised by the International Confederation of Arthouse Cinemas (CICAE) on 13 November 2022.

Altogether 20 films in production or post-production, looking for sales agents or festivals for international premiers, will be presented at three Works In Progress showcases during Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event in 2022. The films include new projects from award-winning directors as well as debuts from different genres.
The awards were accorded to the most promising European and U.S. documentary projects presented at the 2 nd edition of the Ji.hlava New Visions Forum on Friday night.
The 26th Ji.hlava IDFF has announced its winners. The award for the most notable international documentary film was granted to 07:15 – Blackbird by Judith Auffray, the best Czech documentary is Kapr Code by Lucie Králová. The jury of the Testimonies section appreciated Into the Weeds: Dewayne "Lee" Johnson vs Monsanto Company by Canadian director Jennifer Baichwal. The award for original approach went to Spanish director Javier Codesal for his film Greater Gospel. The Contribution to World Cinema award was granted to Slovak director Dušan Hanák.
BUCHAREST: Teambuilding directed by Matei Dima, Cosmin Nedelcu and Alex Coteț, is currently the Romanian film with the most admissions in the last 30 years in local cinemas. The film produced and released by Vidra Productions on 30 September 2022 is topping the general charts with 3.16 m EUR / 15,561,881 RON and 668,629 admissions.
BUDAPEST: The Verzió International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival has announced the selection of its 19th edition, which will be held in Budapest in November 2022. Ten films, including Croatian Bigger than Trauma by Vedrana Pribačić and the Polish minority coproduction Angels of Sinjar by Hanna Polak, are running in the International Competition.
CLUJ-NAPOCA: The Transilvania International Film Festival has open submissions for its 22nd edition, set to take place in June 2023.
