74th Locarno Film Festival will give floor to two Czech films. Francesco Montagner’s documentary Brotherhood will celebrate its world premiere in the Concorso Cineasti del presente competition section, and Diana Cam Van Nguyen has been invited to world-premiere her short film Love, Dad in the Pardi di domani competition. Both films have been supported by the Czech Film Fund, which will be represented in Locarno by its promotional division Czech Film Center.

Romania 02-08-2021CLUJ-NAPOCA: The Whaler Boy, a coproduction between Russia, Poland and Belgium directed by Philipp Yuryev, received the Transilvania Trophy at the 20th edition of the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF) during a closing ceremony held in the main square in Cluj-Napoca.
Talents Sarajevo accompanying the 27th edition of the Sarajevo Film Festival will welcome 56 up-and-coming directors, producers, screenwriters, actors, cinematographers, editors and film critics from 14 countries of Southeast Europe and the Southern Caucasus.
This year, participants hail from 14 of the 19 eligible nations, namely: Albania, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Hungary, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey. Numbers of 2021 participants by country are more evenly distributed than in recent years, with between one and eight Talents from each nation, the only exception being Romania with 12 participants total.

Festivals 30-07-2021As part of this year's Avantpremiere Series programme of the 27th Sarajevo Film Festival, the audience will be presented with the five latest drama series.
The festival audience and film professionals will have the opportunity to watch the first two episodes of the first seasons exclusively on the cinema screen, and meet the cast of the series: AWAKE, TIME OF EVIL, BAD BLOOD, BLACK WEDDING and THE GOLDEN BOY.
