New films of Łukasz Grzegorzek, Aleksandra Terpińska, Anna Jadowska and Jan Holoubek at this year’s biggest industry event in Poland!

The 2021 edition of Polish Days will take place from 15th till 17th August during the 21th New Horizons International Film Festival (12 - 22th August) in Wrocław.

This year's event will feature 5 completed films, 6 as part of a presentation of works in progress and 9 projects in development. Congratulations to all!

Mentorship has truly become a significant part of professional development. This is why the very first “Baltic Women in Film Mentorship 2021-2022” program, exclusively for women in film and TV industries of the Baltic states, is organized. The eight month mentorship welcomes women from various fields of these industries, whether they want to deepen their knowledge or change their career path. The call is open until 13th of August 2021.


KFF Industry – the insider part of the 61st Krakow Film Festival took place in the first week of June. As every year, it was filled with some of the most interesting events of the documentary and animation industry.

Pitch sessions, workshops, presentations, panel discussions, networking meetings, the CEDOC Market – co-production meetings and the KFF Video Library filled all days of KFF Industry, this year held mostly online, although we also managed to spend some time offline during industry afternoons at the Festival Centre. All KFF Industry events took place between 31 May and 5 June.

14th Fest Anča introduces its feature films programm

Fest Anča 2021 is right around the corner, bringing its feature films programme. For online and live-event visitors, the festival’s dramaturges have prepared unique and celebrated films that directly or indirectly hint at this edition’s theme – Traditions. This is present in the feature-length animated documentary about Slovak-Hungarian relations Felvidek: Caught in Between (2014), the experimental The Wolf House (2018) mixing personal and national trauma, and Viktor Kubal’s rendering of the cult Elisabeth Bathory story in The Bloody Lady (1980).

TV market with a view is finally back for a live event, hosting representatives from pay-tvs, sports streamings, broadcasters and production companies

The wait is over! After a year filled with virtual meetings, NEM Dubrovnik 2021 will once again gather leading key figures from the TV industry in one place.

Taking the stage from 6th until 9th September 2021 at Dubrovnik Palace Hotel, various speakers will discuss the latest achievements, the future of the media and various possibilities emerging after a year which greatly impacted the industry.

Kids Kino Industry, the pitching and co-production forum for feature films and series (live-action, animation and documentaries) for young audiences, has announced the line-up for its next edition, to be held in Warsaw, Poland and online from 28 September to 1 October 2021.

The 27th Sarajevo Film Festival’s In Focus programme brings the best achievements of regional cinematography from the past and this year. It is a selection of strong achievements of both already established artists and debutants that gained success at prestigious film festivals around the world or in the domestic market.

BUCHAREST: Miracle / Miracol, the third feature film by the Romanian-born, New York- based director Bogdan George Apetri, has been picked up by Memento International ahead its world premiere in the Orizzonti Competition of the 78 Venice Film Festival, 1-11 September 2021. The film is a Romanian/Czech/Latvian coproduction.
