The Lithuanian Oscar Committee has decided that the film Seneca‘s Day by Kristijonas Vildžiūnas is Lithuania’s official candidate for the Oscar-nominations as Best Foreign-Language Feature.

SOFIA: Losers by Ivaylo Hristov has been selected as Bulgaria’s entry for Best Foreign Language Film at the 89th Academy Awards. The film was chosen by a commission gathered by the Bulgarian National Film Center.

VENICE: FNE together with FIPRESCI have invited FIPRESCI critics in Venice to rate the films in all four of the official competition programmes of the festival giving the films 1,2,3,4 or 5 stars. The ratings give an overview of the critics’ opinions from a large number of countries and provide insights to what critics in many different countries think about the programme.
