VALLETTA: Italian TV series Chiedilo al Mare produced for RAI and starring the popular actor Beppe Fiorello has been shot in Malta recently. The premiere is set for February 2017.

SOFIA: The Bulgarian minority coproduction King of the Belgians has been acquired by Be for Films. The film directed by Peter Brosens and Jessica Woodworth landed a slot in the competitive section the Orizzonti of the 73rd Venice Film Festival, which will be held from 31 August to 10 September 2016.

MOTOVUN: Irish/Cuban coproduction Viva by Paddy Breathnach has won the Propeller of Motovun at the 19th Motovun Film Festival, which took place from 26 to 30 July 2016.

TARTU: The 11th Tartu Love Film Festival will screen 18 films related to love in Town Hall Square (Raekoja Plats), the biggest open air cinema in the Baltics, from 1 to 6 August 2016.
