PULA: Zrinko Ogresta’s On the Other Side was awarded the Grand Golden Arena at the 63rd edition of Pula Film Festival, which took place from 9 to 16 July 2016. The film received seven other awards including best director and screenplay.

VENICE: Polish director Jerzy Skolimowski and French actor Jean-Paul Belmondo will both receive Golden Lions for Lifetime Achievement at the 73rd Venice International Film Festival set to take place from 31 August to 10 September 2016.

Long-awaited documentary FC Roma by Tomáš Bojar and Rozálie Kohoutová had its world premiere at the Karlovy Vary IFF. The film, supported by the Institute of Documentary Film, tells the story of a football team consisting mainly of Roma people.
