Baltic Sea Forum for Documentaries (Baltic Sea Docs) has finalized the project selection for its 27th edition, scheduled to take place on September 3-10. As the leading documentary pitching event in the Baltic countries, Baltic Sea Docs focuses on projects from the wider Baltic Sea region, Eastern Europe, and Caucasus. The selection includes 20 projects to be presented in Riga for the first time and four projects in the forum's new “Coming Soon” session, featuring projects in the post-production stage that have previously been pitched at other Baltic Sea Docs editions. The 24 selected projects represent film studios from 11 countries, including Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Finland, Estonia, and Georgia.

BUCHAREST: The TV miniseries The Gray House directed by Roland Joffe, produced by Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman, and starring Marie Louise Parker and Christopher McDonald has stopped midway shooting at the Castel Film Studios in Romania due to the strike of Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG - AFTRA). Filming halted on 15 July 2023 for one week-time.

CLUJ-NAPOCA: Scriptwriters from all EU member countries can apply for the Full Moon Creative Lab, a project dedicated to film professionals specialising in genre TV series: thriller, horror and fantasy. The deadline for te programme initiated by Romanian Film Promotion and the Transilvania IFF is 15 September 2023.

Call for projects now open: Full Moon Creative Lab for genre scriptwriters
Press releases 13-07-2023European scriptwriters can now apply for the Full Moon Creative Lab, a project dedicated to film professionals specialising in genre TV series: thriller, horror and fantasy. The program, initiated by Romanian Film Promotion and Transilvania IFF, consists of creative residencies taking place in Transylvania (Romania), during which up to 12 candidates will be mentored by accomplished international professionals. The selected participants will be guided in writers’ rooms.
The application deadline for the 11th edition of the Forum is next week - 20 July (Thursday).
