On Monday, September 29 at 6:30 p.m. the annual Panel of Forthcoming Czech Documentaries will be held in Prague’s Cinema Světozor. The public will have a unique opportunity to get introduced to ten interesting documentary projects right from their creators as part of a series of short presentations. During the evening the new catalogue of forthcoming Czech documentaries, Czech Docs 2014 – 2015, will be presented. It will be concluded with the preview screening of Veronika Lišková’s feature-length documentary Daniel’s World, an unprejudiced look at the world of the Czech paedophile community.
FNE asked Fatih Akin about his international coproduction The Cut that screened in the main competition at the recent Venice Film Festival. RIGA: The producers of a doc about Latvian athlete Raymond Dombrovsky’s bid to cross North America on roller-skis have launched a kickstarter campaign to fund the film which has also received backing from the Latvian National Film Centre.
