AW is a documentary film workshop at its fifth edition, open to creative documentary filmmakers, DPs, editors and producers from Central and Eastern Europe. The programm is co-financed by the french-german channel ARTE.

With BRIDGES EUROPE - TURKEY, European Film Promotion (EFP) will be launching a new programme at the 29th edition of the Istanbul International Film Festival. Between April 12-14, the festival, in close cooperation with EFP, will highlight and present 10 current European and 12 Turkish productions of up-and-coming directors.

it is a great honor to inform you that the 45th International Festival of Science Documentary Films Academia Film Olomouc which will take place from the 13th to 18th of April 2010 is being set up. The Institute of Documentary Film (IDF) has officially launched the new documentary portal www.DOKweb.net. In addition to the daily updated news section, the portal now boasts the most comprehensive online database of East European documentary films produced after 1989, a database of East European documentary professionals, and a detailed industry directory that lists European and international festivals, grants, funds, organizations, institutions, production and distribution companies, markets, workshops, film schools and many more categories. Replacing IDF's former site www.DOCUinter.net, www.DOKweb.net now offers more content and interactivity.

Bratislava, 1 March 2010 - IFF Bratislava will soon welcome in Slovakia two major European initiatives supporting emerging film talents: Torino Film Lab andScript&Pitch workshops.

Honey (Bal), awarded the Golden Bear at the 60th Berlin International Film Festival, will be shown in Polish cinemas this year. Mañana is a distributor of the movie in Poland.

Prague, February 24, 2010 - The 60th International Film Festival in Berlin (February 11 - 21, 2010) proved to be a major success for director Jan Hřebejk. His film Kawasaki's Rose picked up not one, but two prizes this year when two independent juries - the Ecumenical Jury and the Jury of the International Confederation of Art House Cinemas (C.I.C.A.E.) - deemed it a winner.
