European screenwriters can now apply for the 2nd edition of Full Moon Creative Lab

Romanian Film Promotion and the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF) invites European screenwriters to submit their horror, thriller & fantasy series or mini-series ideas to be developed in a Writers’ room, for the second edition of the Full Moon Creative Lab, a project co-funded by European Union.

ŽILINA: La voix des sirènes (France, Italy) by Gianluigi Toccafondo won Best Animated Short at the 17th edition of Fest Anča International Animation Festival, which wrapped in Žilina, Slovakia on 30 June 2024. Fest Anča is the only Slovak multimedia festival that focuses on animated film primarily for adult audiences.

This year for the ninth time FNE together with FIPRESCI are organising the ratings of all feature films in the main Crystal Globe competition, and the Proxima competition of the official Karlovy Vary International Film Festival programme by international critics attending the Festival.

BERLIN: Twelve German titles are the beneficiaries of the “Distribution Support” programme of German Films in the second batch for 2024. A total of 45 foreign theatrical releases received a total of 306,000 EUR.

New Horizons Studio+, organized by the New Horizons Association and Creative Europe Desk Poland, is a training program for directors and producers developing their first or second feature film. The 15th edition of New Horizons Studio+ will take place on July 18-21 during the 24th mBank New Horizons International Film Festival.

The 17th edition of Fest Anča International Animation Festival has this year’s award-winning directors. The winning films were announced on 29 June at a ceremony at historic Žilina Town Theatre, while the festival programme continues until Sunday. The international jury appreciated visually impressive films full of mysticism that communicate with audiences in a refreshing and sincere language.

STRASBOURG: Seven projects from FNE partner countries are among the 31 long films receiving Eurimages Co-production Support on 25 June 2024, while four of the nine projects receiving Council of Europe’s Pilot Programme for Series Co-Productions support on 27 June 2024  are (co)produced by an FNE partner country.

PRAGUE: A total of 31 projects (nine features, seven TV series, nine short films, and six student films) have been selected for the animation industry's leading regional pitching, financing and co-production CEE Animation Forum, whose 12th edition will be held in Pilsen, Czech Republic, on 12-13 November 2024.

POTSDAM: The Erich Pommer Institute (EPI) is organising an info session about its programme Audiovisual Women. The info session will be held online on 22 August 2024, 14:00 CEST and it is free of charge.
