Jury of the Competition Programme – Feature Film of the 27th Sarajevo Film Festival

Actress Jasna Đuričić (President of the Jury), director and screenwriter Mike Cahill, director and screenwriter Lili Horvát, artistic director of Viennale - International Film Festival in Vienna Eva Sangiorgi and executive director of AFC – Austrian Film Commission Martin Schweighofer will serve on the Jury of the Competition Programme - Feature Film of the 27th Sarajevo Film Festival.

A total of 47 films will compete for the Heart of Sarajevo awards at the 27th Sarajevo Film Festival. The Festival’s four competition sections – for feature, documentary, short and student film – will feature 18 world, 3 international, 1 european, 24 regional and 1 B&H premieres.
This year, the Sarajevo Film Festival Selection team lead by Creative Director Izeta Građević has seen 683 films submitted for the Festival, including 135 feature fiction films, 153 documentary, 245 short and 150 student titles.
The International Confederation of Arthouse Cinemas, the CICAE had its new board elected during the annual general assembly on June 23, shifting towards a younger, increasingly international and more gender balanced representation of its members.
Christian Bräuer re-elected as President, new Board of Directors
Christian Bräuer, managing director of the Berlin Yorck Kinogruppe and chairman of the German Arthouse Association, was re-elected as president.
The 23rd edition of East-West co-production market connecting cottbus will be held this year 3-5 November as a hybrid event.
Producers can submit their feature fiction film projects in development for cocoPITCH until 16 July 2021, and projects in production or post-production for cocoWIP until 18 August 2021. In the Competition Programme - Documentary Film of the 27th Sarajevo Film Festival, there are 16 films according to the choice of the selector Rada Šešić. In Sarajevo, 8 films will have global, 1 European, 6 regional and 1 Bosnian-Herzegovinian premieres.
New films of Łukasz Grzegorzek, Aleksandra Terpińska, Anna Jadowska and Jan Holoubek at this year’s biggest industry event in Poland!
The 2021 edition of Polish Days will take place from 15th till 17th August during the 21th New Horizons International Film Festival (12 - 22th August) in Wrocław.

Maciej Jakubczyk, Head of Kids Kino International Film Festival and Kids Kino Industry, feels privileged to be elected as new board member of ECFA (European Children’s Film Association), Europe’s biggest networking platform for children’s cinema, young audience content and media education.

Mentorship has truly become a significant part of professional development. This is why the very first “Baltic Women in Film Mentorship 2021-2022” program, exclusively for women in film and TV industries of the Baltic states, is organized. The eight month mentorship welcomes women from various fields of these industries, whether they want to deepen their knowledge or change their career path. The call is open until 13th of August 2021.
KFF Industry – the insider part of the 61st Krakow Film Festival took place in the first week of June. As every year, it was filled with some of the most interesting events of the documentary and animation industry.
Pitch sessions, workshops, presentations, panel discussions, networking meetings, the CEDOC Market – co-production meetings and the KFF Video Library filled all days of KFF Industry, this year held mostly online, although we also managed to spend some time offline during industry afternoons at the Festival Centre. All KFF Industry events took place between 31 May and 5 June.
