Kids Kino Industry, the international co-production film and series pitching forum which takes place in Warsaw every September is going to be fully online this year. This is the only Polish industry event to have received funding from the European Union and recognition among European experts. 

Kids Kino Industry is the third component of the Kids Kino programme implemented by the New Horizons Association, recognised by the film industry in Europe. Apart from the industry event, the programme consists of two parts: Kids Kino International Film Festival (as one of the three selected Polish festivals, others being the Millennium Docs Against Gravity Film Festival and the New Horizons International Film Festival) and Kids Kino.Lab, an international programme for the development of films and series for young audiences.

BUDAPEST: With two domestic feature films in shooting since June 2020, a Netflix production filming since mid-July and several domestic and international productions  set to start shooting, Hungarian film production is making a strong comeback after the pandemic lockdown.

VENICE: Four majority and minority coproductions from Hungary, Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Estonia and Poland have been selected for the Competition programme of the 17th edition of the Venice Days (Giornate degli Autori). The independent Venice Film Festival sidebar will run 2-12 September 2020.

CLUJ-NAPOCA: Marona’s Fantastic Tale by Anca Damian will screen in the Romanian Days section at the 19th edition of the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF), running in Cluj-Napoca from 31 July to 9 August 2020. The film was nominated at the European Film Awards 2019 in the European Animated Feature Film category.

CLUJ-NAPOCA: Dorian Boguță’s debut feature Legacy will screen in the Romanian Days competition at the 19th edition of the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF), running in Cluj-Napoca from 31 July to 9 August 2020.

SARAJEVO: Eight titles will compete for the Heart of Sarajevo award in the Competition Programme - Feature Film 2020 of the 26th Sarajevo Film Festival. The festival has also announced the selection for the other three competition programmes: documentary, short and student film. In all, 49 films will compete for awards at the festival running from 14 to 21 August 2020.

CLUJ-NAPOCA: Cristi Puiu’s Malmkrog will screen in the Romanian Days section of the 19th edition of the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF), running in Cluj-Napoca from 31 July to 9 August 2020. The film opened the new section Encounters of the Berlin IFF, where Puiu received the Best Director Award.

CLUJ-NAPOCA: Dan Chișu’s feature film 5 Minutes Too Late / 5 minute, inspired by real homophobic reactions that occurred during a screening of an LGBT film in Romania, will be showcased in the Romanian Days competition at the 19th edition of the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF). The festival is running in Cluj-Napoca from 31 July to 9 August 2020.

CLUJ-NAPOCA: Uppercase Print, one of the two films by Radu Jude selected for the 2020 Berlinale’s Forum, will screen in the Romanian Days section of the 19th edition of the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF) running in Cluj-Napoca from 31 July to 9 August 2020.
