National Film Institute – Hungary Organises Online Auction for Items Used in Films
Hungary 14-10-2022BUDAPEST: The National Film Institute – Hungary (NFI) is organising, between 18 and 21 October 2022, an online auction for items once used in the Mafilm studios and owned by Mafilmrent Kft.
WARSAW: Sixteen projects from 17 countries, including Poland, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Lithuania, have been selected for the 9th edition of SOFA – School of Film Advancement (2022-2023). After two virtual editions, the training programme returns with a larger lineup.

Region 14-10-2022WARSAW: Here is the list of the titles selected by FNE partner countries as candidates for the 95th Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences award in the Best International Feature Film category. Six of these 17 titles are debut features.
PRAGUE: The 30th anniversary edition of the Prague International Film Festival – Febiofest, planned for April 2023, has been cancelled, as founder Fero Fenič regained ownership of the festival’s trademarks but needs more time to find a new owner to organise it.
PRAGUE: Robert Eggers, who is preparing to shoot Nosferatu in Prague later this year, will give a masterclass together with cinematographer Jarin Blaschke at the cinema Bio Oko on 17 October 2022. The live event is organised by the Czech film educational organisation and platform Cinergy, which will also share the recordings of the event on its YouTube channel afterwards.
BRASOV: More than 40 films are screening in the anniversary 10th edition of the Dracula Film Festival, running 12 – 16 October 2022.

Czech Republic 12-10-2022JIHLAVA: Sixteen films have been selected for the Opus Bonum international competition of the 26th Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival (25 – 30 October 2022), which announced its full lineup on 11 October 2022.
PRAGUE: The Czech Film Fund has distributed 2.56 m EUR to six feature film projects in the second production call of 2022. New projects by Olmo Omerzu and Tereza Nvotová received support. The grants were announced on 11 October 2022.
