STRASBOURG: Alexander Nanau’s documentary collective has been voted by the European public and the members of the European Parliament as the winner of the first LUX Audience Award. The ceremony took place during a largely virtual plenary session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg on 9 June 2021.

Submissions are now open for connecting cottbus, the East-West co-production market at the FilmFestival Cottbus on 3-5 November 2021.

SARAJEVO: Ten feature films and six drama series from Southeast Europe have been selected for the 2021 CineLink Co-production Market and CineLink Drama, respectively. They will take part in a preparatory workshop from 7 to 25 June 2021 and will be showcased 14-19 August 2021.

Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) and Industry@Tallinn &; Baltic Event are proud to announce the five projects taking part in Tallinn Black Nights Goes To Cannes this summer. 

For the first time Black Nights Film Festival joins the well established Marché du Film showcase "Goes to Cannes", presenting 5 international film projects in post-production stage in Cannes this July. “Black Nights Goes to Cannes” is part of the PÖFF’s 25th birthday celebrations, in a year where PÖFF’s industry platform Industry@Tallinn &; Baltic Event also celebrates its 20th anniversary.

BUCHAREST: The Romanian majority coproduction Marona’s Fantastic Tale by Anca Damian received the award for the Best European Children’s Film of the Year at the European Children’s Film Association (ECFA) gala, streamed live from the Zlin Film Festival's studio.
