MIDPOINT's series oriented program TV Launch brings together 20 participants with 9 projects of promising series. The first workshop of the more than six months long journey starts on June 10, 2020 and runs for the following 12 days online.

Postponed by restrictive anti-pandemic measures adopted all over the world this spring, Transilvania International Film Festival announces new dates for its 19th edition: July 31-August 9 2020, in Cluj, Romania. Transilvania IFF returns with a summer edition featuring many outdoor screenings and an adapted programming, with a focus on the safety of the audience.

Pustnik Co-founder Andreea Bortun and Project Manager Dan Angelescu talk about Pustnik, a residency for scriptwriters on the banks of the Danube in Romania. They talk about why they founded the programme, how the COVID crisis has changed things and how scriptwriters can apply.

CLUJ: The Transilvania IFF will take place 31 July – 9 August. The festival had been originally scheduled for June but was postponed by the COVID-19 crisis. The summer edition will feature many outdoor screenings and adapted programming, with a focus on the safety of the audience.

WARSAW: Films from Lithuania, Bulgaria and Georgia have been selected for the 73rd edition of the Cannes Film Festival. A total of 56 films have been chosen for the 2020 official selection.

Twelve projects have been selected for Ex Oriente 2020.
