Croatian filmmakers are participating in five festival programmes at the 11th Beldocs International Documentary Film Festival, taking place from May 7th to 14th in Belgrade. A total of 98 films in 14 categories will be screened.

Jan Naszewski’s Warsaw-based sales outlet New Europe Film Sales announced that it has signed a world sales deal for Ognjen Glavonić debut film The Load, set to world premiere in Cannes’ Directors’ Fortnight.

Haapsalu Horror and Fantasy Film Festival aka HÕFF, which ended this Sunday awarded Morgane Segaert’s short film Dark Room with the Silver Méliès award.

Three debut feature films that are at the stage of works-in-progress will participate in Vilnius Goes to Cannes market screening presented by Vilnius IFF Kino Pavasaris. The projects of only debuting filmmakers were selected and awarded by the international jury during Meeting Point – Vilnius, an industry event of VIFF.

The international event taking place from the 17th to the 21st of April at Film and TV Faculty of VŠMU (The Academy of Performing Arts) in Bratislava attracted interest of film enthusiasts from more than 20 countries. Five-day programme combining lectures and screenings of works of renowned guests with the presentation of students' works once again proved its unique position – all of that in a pleasant and informal atmosphere.
