WROCLAW: The 14th edition of New Horizons Studio+ has announced the winners of its pitching contest. The event consisting of workshops and lectures took place 20 – 23 July 2023 during the 23rd edition of mBank New Horizons International Film Festival.

SARAJEVO: A total of 49 films will compete for the Heart of Sarajevo awards in the four competition sections of the 29th Sarajevo Film Festival, which will be held 11 – 18 August 2023.

RIGA: The Baltic Sea Forum for Documentaries (Baltic Sea Docs) has announced the projects selected for its 27th edition set to take place 3 - 10 September 2023. This year, the leading documentary pitching event in the Baltics will launch a new Coming Soon session.

WROCŁAW: Beautiful Flower Meadow by Emi Buchwald and Bread and Salt by Damian Kocur, both produced by Munk SFP Studio, have been included in the programme of the 23rd mBank New Horizons International Film Festival, which takes place in Wrocław 20 – 30 July 2023.

BUDAPEST: Three feature films received waivers from Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG - AFTRA) for shooting in CEE. Their shooting is taking place in Hungary and Romania.

Baltic Sea Forum for Documentaries (Baltic Sea Docs) has finalized the project selection for its 27th edition, scheduled to take place on September 3-10. As the leading documentary pitching event in the Baltic countries, Baltic Sea Docs focuses on projects from the wider Baltic Sea region, Eastern Europe, and Caucasus. The selection includes 20 projects to be presented in Riga for the first time and four projects in the forum's new “Coming Soon” session, featuring projects in the post-production stage that have previously been pitched at other Baltic Sea Docs editions. The 24 selected projects represent film studios from 11 countries, including Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Finland, Estonia, and Georgia.

BATUMI: Batumi International Art house Film Festival's director Giorgi Gogiberidze needs support to fight cancer. A new stage of treatment, which is due to start in September 2023, costs 85,000 USD and it cannot be financed by existing state programmes in Georgia.

BELGRADE: Serbian producer Tea Korolija passed away at the age of 49, after a long battle with an illness. She produced the megahit Besa through the Serbian production company Adrenalin.
