VALLETTA: The COVID-19 crisis and a shortfall in support through public funding have led to the cancellation of the Valletta Film Festival.

BUCHAREST: More than 150 Romanian professionals have appealed to the director of the Romanian Film Centre (CNC) and the members of the administration council saying that the measures announced by the CNC on 26 March 2020 would “effectively block” the operations that might be undertaken until the restrictions caused by COVID-19 are lifted.

VALLETTA: The Malta Producers Association applauded the decision to include the film and TV production industry in the government’s support measures. The MPA had worked on lobbying the government after its original plans excluded the industry.
KRAKOW: The organisers of the 60th Krakow Film Festival announced on 31 March, that the event will take place on the originally planned date of 31 May to 7 June 2020, but in the format of an online festival.
