PRAGUE: CEE Animation will once again have a strong presence at MIFA, the world's biggest animation market, taking place 10 - 13 June 2025 in Annecy.

BUCHAREST: Romanian film writer/director Ioana Mischie is currently in postproduction with her awaited debut feature Catane, an absurd Romanian/Italian comedy already acquired by Intramovies. Recently, the film was screened in Cannes Film Market, and it will be released in cinemas at the end of 2025.

WARSAW: Unifrance, the Institut Français in Poland and Warsaw’s Kino Muranów are organising the 16th edition of the French Film Festival in Poland. The event takes place 4 - 11 June at the Muranów cinema in Warsaw, and till 2 July 2025 in Białystok, Kraków, Katowice, Łódź, Lublin, Poznań, Rzeszów, Szczecin, Toruń, Wrocław, Zamość, and Gdańsk.

WARSAW: Content Warsaw returns in 2025 with a fresh three-day market, the Content Warsaw international CEE screenings, and a conference, set to take place at a state-of-the-art cinema complex, the Kinogram, from 2 to 5 June 2025. At this second edition, and for the second time running, Unifrance will be hosting French audiovisual sales companies on its stand.

BELGRADE: Stefan Malešević’s Serbian/Macedonian Soil and Wings won three awards, including for Best Film, in the Serbian Competition of the 18th Beldocs International Documentary Film Festival. The Landscape and the Fury directed by Swiss director Nicole Vögele won Best Film in the International Competition.

Submissions for the 11th edition of Bucharest International Dance Film Festival are now open! Filmmakers, dance artists, animators, visual artists and digital art makers are invited to submit their works for the International Short Film Competition of the festival set to take place between September 11–14, 2025, under the theme “Keep Calm and Keep On Moving”. For the first time, BIDFF is also looking for VR experiences that use movement as their main language or the body as their main subject.
