ZAGREB: Uspjeh, the first HBO original series for HBO Adria, completed shooting in Zagreb at the end of May 2018.
TRIESTE: Projects from Italy, Croatia and Slovenia were chosen from among 18 applications to the RE-ACT Workshop, which will take place in Trieste 19 – 21 June 2018.
Eleven tutors will head up the 2018 Ex Oriente Film Workshop.
SKOPJE: The Macedonian Film Workers' Association signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Macedonian Film Agency on 6 June 2018, designed to strengthen joint efforts to improve Macedonian film production.
RIGA: The Riga International Film Festival Forum, a pitching and coproduction forum for children’s films, announced a call for entries for its 18 – 19 October 2018 event.
BRUSSELS: FNE territory producers received 17 MEDIA development grants in the spring 2018 round covering animation, documentary and feature films. A total of 59 grants were distributed.
Registration for Warsaw Kids Film Forum 2018 is opened. The 2nd edition of the international pitching forum for films and series for the young spectator will take place on September 26-28, 2018 in Warsaw during the 5th Kids Film Festival.
An Observer is a participant of the Forum who gets access to the three-day programme.
The Observer can take part in:
- the Inspiration Day - a cycle of case studies of the most interesting coproductions for children, modern marketing and cross media strategies (first day of the Forum),
- pitching sessions of 28 projects from Poland and Europe as an observer,
- individual meetings with projects participating in the Pitching and Script Exchange Meeting, as well as guests invited by the organizer. Meetings will open if time slots are available and upon prior acceptance from the requested person.
- the Script Exchange meeting, where scriptwriters and directors will present their projects in search of a producer (Observers-producers will have priority in participating in this event).
- meetings at Consultants’ tables. At the 45-minute meeting with a consultant, the Observer will be able to talk about their idea or scenario at an early stage of development with an experienced industry representative / script consultant.
An Observer will receive a login and password to participant zone at www.warsawkidsff.pl. The site is to be used to register for meetings.
Registration for Observers – Forum participants – is open until 16th of September at www.warsawkidsff.pl. Participation is free of charge. First-come-first service rule applies.

The members of European Film Promotion (EFP) have elected a new member to the Board of Directors at today's General Assembly during the Cannes Film Festival. The Board is composed of seven members and the term of office lasts for two years. Dutch EFP representative Marten Rabarts was newly elected to the Board while German Films Managing Director Mariette Rissenbeek was elected Vice President.

We’re very happy to announce the call for applications for the 2019 editions of our programs Feature Launch and TV Launch have been opened!
The Feature Launch program will be continuing in its new structure and relocating to Lithuania for its Workshop 2 and will be opening its script consultant training for applicants from the Central and Eastern European territories, while TV Launch will be opening a specialized training for digital series and junior commissioning editors.
The deadline for both programs is September 21, 2018.
