The 5th edition ofEast Doc Platform (EDP), a key industry meeting of CEE documentary filmmakers with more than 80 acclaimed professionals and decision makers from all over the world, organised by the Institute of Documentary Film in association with theOne World IHRDFF, takes place in Prague, Czech Republic, March 7 to 13, 2016.

PRAGUE: Gain hands-on practical experience designing and implementing campaigns to engage audiences and customers with Yomi Ayeni, an award-winning British digital producer and former BBC strategist. Hands-on Digital Masterclass will take place in Prague on 7-9 March 2016.

ZAGREB: Poet on a Business Trip by Ju Anqi was awarded The Big Stamp Award for Best Film in the International Competition of the 12th ZagrebDox. The festival took place on 21-28 February 2016.

PRAGUE: Acclaimed Czech animator and artist Zdeněk Smetana, awarded in Cannes, Berlin and Venice passed away at 90 due to illness.

TBILISI: Marisa Romanov, an American series produced by Noirtainment Film and Television Production Company, is set to be shot in Georgia and already applied for the tax incentive scheme.

Doc Tank, the development lab for transmedia and socially engaged documentary projects will take place in Prague within East Doc Platform during One World Film Festival on 9-11 March 2016.

BUCHAREST: The deadline for the 3 Maia Workshop package has been extended to 4 March 2016. The Maia workshops are targeted at emerging European fiction, documentary and cross-media producers as well as graduates, production managers and other industry professionals wishing to improve their production skills.

PRAGUE: Twelve titles have been selected for the Main Competition of the One World Film Festival, which kicks off on 7 March 2016 in Prague and will also take place in other 32 cities of the Czech Republic.

The 18th annual One World Festival will focus on the two very hot topics in Europe. Through documentary films and debates it will present the very complex problem of migration – from fleeing war zones, to waiting for asylum, to integration. The festival will show current events in Ukraine from both sides of the conflict, through the eyes of soldiers, ordinary people and survivors.

LONDON: London-based Film and Music Entertainment (F&ME), which celebrates its 15th anniversary, has a bunch of new projects with CEE countries including Georgia, Poland and Croatia as it expands its 2015/2016 slate to 12 pictures.
