SARAJEVO: Ten feature films and two long documentaries including projects from Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Hungary, Montenegro, Croatia, Georgia and Bosnia and Herzegovina will be showcased at the CineLink Work in Progress, during the Sarajevo Film Festival (12 – 19 August 2022).
The City of Wrocław, Futureal Investment Partners – the new owner of the Wratislavia Tower building and the New Horizons Association agreed on the future of the New Horizons Cinema. This means that the movie theater and its main events – the New Horizons International Film Festival and the American Film Festival will stay in Wrocław at least until 2032. The modernization of the cinema and the entire building will start this summer.
BUCHAREST: Early career filmmakers from Romania, Serbia, Bulgaria, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine can still apply to the 7th edition (2022-2023) of FILM+, the support programme for independent low budget film productions. The deadline is 5 August 2022.

WROCŁAW: Polish Days, the industry event hosted by New Horizons IFF, has announced its winners. A total of 22 Polish projects were showcased 24 - 26 July 2022 during the 22nd New Horizons International Film Festival (21 - 31 July 2022).

BUCHAREST: Mihai Mincan’s first feature film To the North / Spre nord has been picked-up by Best Friends Forever ahead of its world premiere in the Orizzonti competition at the 79th Venice International Film Festival.
BRATISLAVA: The Slovak/Czech/German coproduction Victim / Obet’ by Michal Blaško has been acquired by Pluto Film ahead of its world premiere in the Orizzonti competition at the 79th Venice International Film Festival.
TALLINN: Beta Film has sold the TV series Estonia to Seven.One Entertainment Group, which runs ProSieben. The coproduction between Finland, Estonia, Belgium and Sweden is currently in production with the Estonian parts set to be filmed 10 August - 9 September 2022.
VALLETTA: The 18th Kinemastik International Short Film Festival will screen international and local films in the Garden of Rest in Floriana 29 – 31 July 2022.
