PODGORICA: Over 100 cities in 42 countries are taking part in the 3rd edition of the Month of European Film 2024 (1 November – 7 December), organised by the European Film Academy (EFA). Montenegro is the first country in Europe to have the Month of European Film taking place in all cinemas.

Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival 2024 announces full programme and the line-ups of seven juries that will be evaluating the six competition programmes of the festival. The awards will be announced at the festival’s Award Ceremony, which takes place on the 23th of November. 

Eight industry awards were presented today to the most promising projects participating in the Ji.hlava New Visions Forum 2024. In total, thirty projects from Europe, United States and East & Southeast Asia were presented at the Forum. The projects in development, production and post-production were among those presented. The The winners received numerous cash and in-kind awards accorded in cooperation with the partners of Ji.hlava IDFF. See the list of all winners.

BUCHAREST: The Romanian Film Centre (CNC) has announced the first production grants for 2024 in the feature film, debut feature, thematic feature film, documentary and animated film categories. Cristian Mungiu’s new directorial project, Fjord, received the biggest amount of 703,538 EUR / 3.5 m RON.

The following grants were announced by the Romanian Film Centre on 29 October 2024.

TALLINN: Sixteen films, including six world premieres and two international premieres, will screen in the Baltic Film Competition at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF, 8 – 24 November 2024).

BUCHAREST: Romania is participating in the American Film Market taking place in Las Vegas 5 – 10 November 2024 with 16 companies exhibiting under Creative Romanian Film Makers brand.
