Only a few months ago, the filming of Katarína Gramatová’s debut fiction feature, Promise, I'll be Fine, wrapped. Previously, Gramatová’s made the short film Cherries, which won the Jury award at Zlin international film festival. Gramatová works primarily as an editor, after completing her studies at VŠMU Bratislava. Through this, she has worked with major brands on commercials, and collaborated on the music video for French artist Stromae - Sante, which currently has over 55 million views on YouTube and was nominated for Best Editing at Ciclope festival.
The CEE Animation Workshop has entered it’s sixth year with a new selection of participants and animated projects in development. The programme is again welcoming projects and participants from different countries, while still maintaining focus on the CEE region and low production capacity countries. Among 38 applications from 26 countries, the organizers have carefully selected 12 projects and 28 participants from 13 countries who will attend the 2024 edition of the CEE Animation Workshop.

DoP José Luis Alcaine, known for his long-term collaboration with Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar; Tariq Anwar, editor of such films as American Beauty or The King’s Speech; cinematographer Peter Suschitzky, who has worked on cult classics like Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back – these are only some of the illustrious guests coming to Bratislava to share their experience and know-how with film students, industry professionals, as well as casual cineastes.
LONDON: Hungarian set designer Zsuzsa Mihalek received the award for Best Production Design for her work on Poor Things, while the Polish minority coproduction The Zone of Interest received the awards for Outstanding British Film, Film Not in the English Language, and Sound at the BAFTA Film Awards held on 18 February 2024.
SARAJEVO: Five projects from countries including Bulgaria, Romania, Georgia and Poland were selected for the 14th edition of Docu Rough Cut Film Boutique.

BERLIN: The eight-episode series Soviet Jeans / Padomju džinsi, Staņislavs Tokalovs and Juris Kursietis’ dramedy set in 1979 Soviet Latvia, has been acquired by Beta Film.
BERLIN: FNE has teamed up with FIPRESCI critics attending the Berlin Film Festival to rate the films in the Main Competition, Panorama and Forum giving the films 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 stars. 5 is the best and 1 is the worst. The ratings give an overview of critics opinions from a large number of countries and provide insights to what critics in many different countries think about the programme.
BUDAPEST: Origo Studios has launched the innovative online platform Origo Talent Network, which showcases Hungarian actresses and actors, and makes them available for international production companies.
