Poland 13-12-2023WARSAW: The US/British/Polish coproduction The Zone of Interest by Jonathan Glazer scoops three nominations at the 81st Golden Globes. The winners will be announced on 7 January 2024.
The International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI, short for Fédération Internationale de la Presse Cinématographique) is an association of national organizations of professional film critics and film journalists from around the world for “the promotion and development of film culture and for the safeguarding of professional interests.” It was founded in June 1930 in Brussels, Belgium. At present, it has members in more than 50 countries worldwide. The organization distributes its established prizes to up to eighty film festivals around the world. Among them are Berlin, Cannes, Rotterdam, Vienna, Toronto, Venice, Warsaw, San Sebastian, and Montreal film festivals. As of 2005, it also offers an online cinema journal, Undercurrents.

BERLIN: The Estonian majority coproduction Smoke Sauna Sisterhood by Anna Hints was awarded European Documentary at the 36th edition of the European Film Awards held in Berlin on 9 December 2023. The big winner of the evening was the French drama Anatomy of a Fall by Justine Triet.
ZAGREB: Spy/Master, directed by Christopher Smith and produced by Proton Cinema (Hungary) and Mobra Films (Romania) for HBO Europe, received the NEM Award for Best Drama TV Series in the CEE region at NEM Zagreb (6 – 8 December 2023).
