PRODUCTION: Agnieszka Holland and Kasia Adamik to Direct First Netflix Series in Polish
Poland 15-09-2017WARSAW: Netflix commissioned the first locally produced series in Poland, directed by Agnieszka Holland and Kasia Adamik. The title of the series has not been revealed yet. The international premiere is planned for 2018.
LOS ANGELES: Short film Who's Who in Mycology by Czech director Marie Dvořáková has been awarded at the 2017 Student Academy Awards in the narrative film category (domestic film schools). Marie Dvořáková is the second Czech winner of the prize after Jan Svěrák, who later became an acclaimed filmmaker.
The fifteen-minute short film Who's Who in Mycology by young talent Marie Dvořáková has been awarded by the American Academy as one of the three winners in the narrative film category (domestic film schools) in the frame of 2017 Student Academy Awards.
Together with the documentary VOD portal DAFilms.com, the Institute of Documentary Film is inviting you to watch a selection of Czech documentaries from 2016. On the occasion of the event Evening with Czech Docs, a curated programme can be streamed until 24 September 2017.
These grants were announced by Film Center Serbia on 7 September 2017.

This Czech/Slovak/French coproduction was recommended by the Czech Film and Television Academy (CFTA).
GDYNIA: Paweł Maślona’s debut feature mixing six stories about ordinary people in extreme situations will premiere at the 42nd Gdynia Film Festival (18-23 September 2017).
