Dear Audiences, One World in Prague ended and moves now to other locations around the Czech Republic.

Film submissions for the 20th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival are now open. The festival takes place from 11-27 November in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. In addition, it is now possible to submit films for youth and children’s film festival Just Film, a sub-festival of Black Nights, running from 11-20 November.

Polish Film Institute and European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs, EAVE, a professional training, project development and networking organization for audiovisual producers, launched the partnership that will offer a new scholarship for one Polish producer and project for the EAVE 2017 Producers Workshop.

BUCHAREST: For its 10th anniversary the NexT International Film Festival (7-11 April 2016) again organises international and national competitions for short and medium films, as well as The Pitch contest for best short film project.

The key documentary industry event in the CEE region, East Doc Platform (EDP), organised by the Institute of Documentary Film in association with One World IHRDFF, brought more than 400 international guests to Prague on 7-13 March 2016.

PRAGUE: Sonita, a documentary by the Iranian film director, Rokhsareh Ghaem Maghami, won the AVAST Foundation Audience Award at One World in Prague. Like other films that became favourites of the audience, Sonita will travel to other towns all over the Czech Republic.

CLUJ-NAPOCA: According to a study by the Business Faculty from the Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj, Transilvania International Film Festival generates 7.5 m EUR for the local economy.

Sonita, a documentary by an Iranian film director, Rokhsareh Ghaem Maghami, about a young Afghan female rapper, won the AVAST Foundation Audience Award at One World in Prague. Like other films that became favourites of the audience, Sonita will travel to other towns all over the Czech Republic. In Prague, the last, additional, screening of Sonita will be held today at 5 p.m. in the large hall of the Světozor cinema. 

Strasbourg, 15.03.2016 - At its 142nd meetingheld from 8 to 11 March 2016 in Tirana, the Board of Management of the Council of Europe's Eurimages Fund agreed to support 13 fiction, and 3 documentary feature film projects for a total amount of 4 485 494Euros.
