VENICE: FNE together with FIPRESCI  invited FIPRESCI critics in Venice to rate the films in all four of the official competition programmes of the festival giving the films 1,2,3,4 or 5 stars.   

TBILISI/VILNIUS: Levan Tutberidze's Moira and Alanté Kavaïté’s The Summer of Sangaile have been selected by Georgia and Lithuania to compete in the 88th Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language film.

ZAGREB: Jérôme Salle’s The Odyssey/ L'Odyssée, a big budget French film about the life of the explorer Jacques Cousteau is currently shooting on the island of Hvar. The film stars Lambert Wilson, Pierre Niney and Audrey Tautou.

PRAGUE: Niki Caro's adaptation of Diane Ackerman’s novel The Zookeeper’s Wife, set against the backdrop of the holocaust during WWII, is shooting in Prague. The Czech capital will double for Warsaw where the story is set.

VIENNA: Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, a Bollywood film starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma which is currently shooting in London will also shoot in Austria in October 2015.

With the opening of a seventh screening hall at Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival (JIDFF), the festival’s capacity is now expanding by over 400 seats. 

BATUMI: A total of 49 films are competing in the four sections of the 10th Batumi Arthouse Film Festival, one of the major film events in the Black Sea and the Caucasian region which will take place in Batumi, Georgia from 13 to 20 September 2015.
