SOFIA: Award-winning Bulgarian director Konstantin Bojanov will go into production with his second film in July 2015, I Want to Be Like You, a Danish/UK/Belgian/Bulgarian coproduction which features an international cast that includes Klaus Maria Brandauer.
TREBON: Spanish director Sam Conflictivos won the Anifilm Grand Jury Prize in the competition of animated films for adults for his claymation film Possessed and the special recognition went to Signe Baumane for Latvian/US film Rocks in My Pockets at the closing ceremony on 9 May 2015.
TREBON: Speaking at a panel consisting of TV broadcaster from across the CEE region, representatives from the public broadcasting channels in Slovakia and Slovenia said that recent new sources of funding for animation have resulted in the return of domestic content to their screens.

European Film distributors voice concerns about potential outcomes of Digital Single Market Strategy

Nevertheless, Europa Distribution and the International Federation of Film Distributors’ Associations (FIAD) still have some concerns about the Commission’s plans for copyright and geo-blocking. Film distributors fear that in practice both the value of film rights and the choices available to European audiences would decrease.
