WROCŁAW: New films by DK Welchman, Jan P. Matuszyński and Damian Kocur are among the projects selected for Polish Days 2023. The biggest industry event in Poland will be held in Wrocław 23 - 25 July 2023 during the 23rd mBank New Horizons International Film Festival (20 – 30 July 2023).

New Horizons Studio+, organized by the New Horizons Association and Creative Europe Desk Poland, is a training program for directors and producers developing their first or second feature film. The 14th edition of New Horizons Studio+ will take place on July 20-23 during the 23rd mBank New Horizons International Film Festival.

The 2023 edition of Polish Days will take place from the 23rd to the 25th of July during the 23rd mBank New Horizons International Film Festival (July 20 – 30) in Wrocław. This year's event will feature 4 completed films, 9 works in progress, and 9 projects in development. Congratulations to all!

MOTOVUN: The Motovun Film Festival celebrates its 25 years under a new name, Cinehill, and in two segments: one to be held in Motovun 22 - 24 July 2023 and the other in Gorski Kotar, at the Petehovac mountain resort, from 26 to 29 July 2023.

PALIĆ: Over 150 film professionals from Serbia and abroad are expected to attend the 30th edition of the European Film Festival Palić, which will be held in Palić and Subotica 15 – 21 July 2023.

PRAGUE: More than 10 years in the making, this unique production looks set to attract global audiences as it tackles universal questions and tries to find answers. The film is set to premiere later this year.

The 57th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, a non-specialized festival with two competitive categories, took place from June 30th to July 8th. It was organized by Film Servis Festival Karlovy Vary, a.s., with Jiří Bartoška as the president of the festival, Karel Och as its artistic director, Kryštof Mucha as the executive director and Petr Lintimer as the head of production.

The Bulgarian National Film Center has distributed 2,435,000 EUR to six feature film projects in the second production call of 2023. The grants were announced on 21 June 2023.

WARSAW: Five participants from Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Czech Republic/Slovakia and Ukraine are taking part in the 3rd Pop Up Film Residency Visegrad, which started in Poland.

The highly anticipated short animated film "About a Cow" has been officially selected to compete in the Pardi di domani at the 76th Locarno Film Festival. Directed by Pavla Baštanová and produced by Mária Môťovská from MAUR film (Czech Republic) and Sereina Gabathuler from Dschoint Ventschr Filmproduktion (Switzerland), the film is set to captivate audiences with its imaginative and playful collage of images depicting the life of cows.
