VALLETTA: Ridley Scott’s team has moved from Morocco to Malta for the shooting of a sequel to Gladiator 23 years after the original film. Starring Paul Mescal, Denzel Washington, Pedro Pascal, Connie Nielsen, Djimon Hounsou and Joseph Quinn, the Paramount production is set for release on 24 November 2024.

This year, TIFF displayed an impressively rich programme with new initiatives and sold out screenings of domestic films.
