TBILISI: The Sarajevo Film Festival has opened its doors to Georgian filmmakers who are now able to participate in all industry programmes of the biggest annual event in South East Europe.

COTTBUS: Six films are competing for a 1,500 EUR prize in the third U-18 German-Polish Youth Film Competition of new films from German and Poland as part of the Cottbus Film Festival (www.filmfestivalcottbus.de) running through 11 November 2012.

VILNIUS: Four Lithuanian films will have their world premieres at the Scanorama Film Festival (www.scanorama.lt) which opens in Vilnius on 8 November 2012.

BUDAPEST: The HUFTA’s, Hungary’s first official film and TV awards event, is planned for 1 June 2013 in Budapest.

TBILISI: Dzma, a coproduction from Georgia and France has started filming in Tbilisi.

LJUBLJANA: Ten films will compete in Perspectives, the main competition of the 23rd Ljubljana International Film Festival (www.liffe.si), taking place 7-18 November.
