Two Domestic Titles Top 2018 Box Office in Lithuania

VILNIUS: The market share of domestic films increased in Lithuania to 28%, compared to 22% in 2017, while two domestic titles topped the box office in 2018

According to the Lithuanian Film Centre, the most popular films in cinemas in 2018 were the American/Lithuanian coproduction Ashes in the Snow / Tarp pilkų debesų directed by Marius Markevičius, with 240,880 admissions, and Class Reunion: The Boys Are Back! / Klasės susitikimas: berniukai sugrįžta! directed by Kęstutis Gudavičius and produced by Vabalo Filmai, with 182,583 admissions.

Total admissions increased to 4.26 m, while the box office increased to more than 2 m EUR.
