LJUBLJANA: Nejc Gazvoda’s new feature film Father Figure started shooting in his home town Novo mesto in Slovenia on 19 April 2022. The film is a coproduction between Slovenia, Czech Republic and Italy, and it is produced on the Slovenian side by Aleš Pavlin and Andrej Štritof through Perfo.
PRODUCTION: Romania/French Coproduction Metronom
BUCHAREST: Romanian director Alexandru Belc's debut feature Metronom has been selected for Cannes Un Certian Regard. The film is a teenage love story set in Romania of the 70s, when the music from Radio Free Europe was providing some kind of freedom for the youth caught up in a progressively oppressive regime. The film is a Romanian/French coproduction, produced by Catalin Mitulescu through Strada Film International in coproduction with France’s Midralgar and Romania’s Chainsaw Europe.
PRODUCTION: Soso Dumbadze and Elene Asatiani Prep Doc Tbilisi Civil War
TBILISI: Georgian directors Soso Dumbadze and Elene Asatiani are currently in preproduction with their collaborative long documentary Tbilisi Civil War (working title). The project was selected for the Film Mentoring Programme of the CinéDOC-Tbilisi 2022.

SOFIA: Bulgarian director Viktor Chouchkov Jr. is currently in development with War of the Letters, an ambitious 12-part period series set in the 10th century. The Bulgarian National Television (BNT) is backing with nearly 900,000 EUR the producer Midwest, which is coproducing together with Nu Boyana Film Studios.
PRODUCTION: The Witcher S3 Shoots Briefly in Croatia
ZAGREB: The third season of Netflix's series The Witcher spent one shooting day in Croatia during the last weekend, after an initial shooting in the Italian province of Bolzano and four days in Slovenia. The Croatian Audiovisual Centre secured 25% cash rebate through its programme Filming in Croatia, in collaboration with Croatian tax authorities.

WARSAW: Sebastian Buttny is currently in postproduction with his thriller The Saint / Święty, which is set in Poznań in the 80s. The film is a coproduction between Poland and Hungary, and it is due to premiere in the spring of 2023.

BELGRADE: Serbian director Nedljko Kovačić is currently in production with his debut feature, a spy thriller melodrama titled Vera. The key role is played by Jovana Stojiljković, the most sought after Serbian and regional actress of younger generations at the moment. A TV series of 10 one-hour episodes is simultaneously being shot, supported by the Radio Television of Serbia (RTS).
