BUCHAREST: Ada-Maria Ichim is developing hew first long documentary Hijacked! My Grandfather and the World's First Hijacking, the 90 min story of her grandfather's life.

WARSAW: Jan Kidawa-Błoński, the director of Little Rose, is shooting a post-war drama entitled You Will Never Know. Filming started on 4 August 2011 and will end on 12 September.

BUCHAREST: Shooting for Andrei Zincă's first feature Puzzle for a Blind Man, which began on 21 July 2011, wrapped 14 August 14 in Bucharest. Shooting took place on location and at Castel Film Studios (www.castelfilm.ro).

TALLINN: Sulev Keedus's social documentary The Russians of the Isle of Crows is in postproduction with a premiere scheduled for autumn 2011.

BUCHAREST: Alexandru Maftei is shooting Domnişoara Christina/ Miss Christina, an adaption of the 1936 novella by Mircea Eliade, a fantastical love story inspired by Romanian popular mythology.

TALLINN: Liivo Niglas is in post-production with The Land of Love, his second documentary (after Yuri Vella's World) featuring the Siberian indigenous reindeer herder, writer and activist Yuri Vella, who fights for a piece of land where his reindeers go to couple in autumn.

ZAGREB: British director Peter Greenaway is filming Goltzius and the Pelican Companyin Zagreb. Shooting began on 27 July 2011.

BUCHAREST: Daniele Vicari's feature Diaz - Don't Clean up this Blood is filming in Bucharest until 20 August 2011, then the production will move to Italy where it will wrap on 9 September. The postproduction will be completed in Rome.

BUCHAREST: Six Bullets aka The Butcher, a new actioner starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, is set to shoot in Romania in September, with MediaPro Studios (www.mediaprostudios.com ) providing production services. The film will be directed by Ernie Barbarash with a script written by Chad Law and Evan Law.

WARSAW: The team behind the award-winning Rabbit a la Berlin has begun shooting the concept documentary Six Degrees, which takes a literal and exploratory look at the theory that everyone is connected via only six degrees of separation.
