ZAGREB: The 100-day shoot of the fourth season of Black & White World / Crno-bijeli svijet, the Croatian period drama with elements of comedy, has wrapped filming. The TV series is produced by Interfilm for the Croatian National Television. Written and directed by Goran Kulenović and Igor Mirković, it follows the stories of different generations of citizens of Zagreb in the 1980s, marked by the blooming rock music scene under the communist regime.

The project is funded by the GNFC and the producer/cinematographer is Elia Pharsadanishvili. Filming is in the final stages and the premiere of the film is expected in 2021.

TBILISI: Georgian director Alexander Koridze is currently in production with his long documentary Atonal Glow. The first shoot started in Tbilisi in July 2019. The project is funded by the GNFC and Koridze himself is the producer. The filming is underway and the premiere of the film is expected in 2021.

ZAGREB: Croatian helmer Dalibor Matanić started filming his new TV series The Last Socialist Artefact / Područje bez signala, based on the book of the famous Croatian writer Robert Perišić. The series is developed and produced by Ankica Jurić Tilić and her company Kinorama in coproduction with Sense Production (RS), Perfo Production (SI) and Citizen Jane (FI). Matanić has recently completed his 3-season TV series The Paper / Novine, which has been sold to Netflix.

PRODUCTION: Slovak Remake of Perfect Strangers Starts Postproduction
BRATISLAVA: Known Unknown / Známi neznámi, the feature debut of young Slovak director Zuzana Marianková, is entering postproduction. The remake of the 2016 Italian blockbuster Perfect Strangers is produced by Wandal Production, which has acquired rights for Slovakia and the Czech Republic, with the adaptation of the screenplay by Petr Jarchovský.

PRODUCTION: Emanuel Pârvu Enters Postproduction with Mikado
BUCHAREST: Emanuel Pârvu is in postproduction with his sophomore feature Mikado / Marocco, which he shot when Romania eased the Covid restrictions, from 26 July to 23 August 2020. The main character of the film is played by Șerban Pavlu, who also stared in Pârvu's debut feature Meda or The Not So Bright Side of Things / Meda sau Partea nu prea fericită a lucrurilor (FamArt, 2017), which won the Hearts of Sarajevo for Best Director and Best Actor.
