The international short film and animation festival announced the winners of its 2023 edition this Saturday, November 11 at the PÖFF Shorts Award Ceremony.

BERLIN: The nominations for the main categories of the 36th edition of the European Film Awards were announced on 6 November 2023. Films by Agnieszka Holland, Anna Hints and Juraj Lerotić are among them.

BERLIN: The 20th edition of the Arthouse Cinema Training organised by C.I.C.A.E. was successfully wrapped in Berlin on 5 November 2023 after seven days. The Arthouse Cinema Training is the only programme of its kind, focusing on global capacity building, fostering intercultural exchange and international connection across the arthouse sector and beyond.

Lithuania will be presented as a guest country in the Thessaloniki International Film Festival in November 3-11 at the AGORA industry section. One of the most important initiatives of AGORA is the program Bridge to the North, aimed at promoting the cooperation of the Greek film sector with the Baltic and Scandinavian countries. Bridge to the North is exploring new opportunities in financing and artistic collaborations and is creating fertile ground for co-productions, synergies and cultural exchange.

PILSEN: The 11th edition of the CEE Animation Forum 2023 will present 28 European animated projects, including feature films, series/TV specials, short films and student works on 8 and 9 November in Pilsen, Czech Republic. The Forum also introduces the Market, a place designed to connect film professionals.

BERLIN: The 20th edition of the Arthouse Cinema Training organised by C.I.C.A.E. is currently taking place in Berlin 30 October - 5 November 2023. The renowned initiative gathers arthouse exhibitors and industry experts for a seven-day intensive programme of talks, panels and interactive workshops surrounding arthouse cinema exhibition.

The 11th edition of the CEE Animation Forum 2023 will present a selection of 28 exceptional European animated projects – feature films, series/TV specials, short films, and student works. Designed to captivate diverse audiences, from children to adults, these projects showcase the pinnacle of European animation creativity. The event, scheduled for November 8-9 in Pilsen, Czech Republic, not only provides a platform for pitching but also introduces the new innovative Market.

The 27th edition of the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival will pay special attention to Ukrainian films, as the festival will screen 12 new features and shorts. The festival has also translated part of its website into Ukrainian and will present Banksy's audiovisual project Murals at the Opening Ceremony. The installation is based on world-famous artworks on Ukrainian residential areas destroyed by the Russian troops.

BUDAPEST: Megafilm Service Kft. will shoot the six-episode TV series The Protected Facility / A védett létesítmény (working title) directed by Linda Dombrovszky from mid-November 2023 to April 2024.The production is benefiting from a grant of 2.25 m EUR / 865 m HUF from the National Film Institute – Hungary.
