On Sunday 4th April the visitors of the 23rd year of Finále started booking their tickets to festival screenings on internet website www.filmfestfinale.cz/en. From the very beginning the most popular films were Kawasaki's Rose, Protektor, Women in Temptation, An Earthy Paradise for the Eyes and Dreamers. After completing a reservation tickets are collected from the box office in Měšťanská Beseda.

Prague, April 16, 2010 - Czech Film Center will present a block of short films produced by Czech film schools at this year's Finále Pilsen, the Czech film festival's 23rd year. The short film screening event debuts at the festival in addition to CFC's regular Panel of Upcoming Feature and Animated Films. CFC has long promoted both finished feature films and film projects in development. But this year it set its sights on short films in hopes of opening the door to the international world of cinema for novice filmmakers.

Located in the historic Beyoglu district of Istanbul, state owned 86 year old movie palace Emek is not only the symbolic movie theater of Turkey or the host of International Istanbul Film Festival for the last 28 years but also one the few independant movie theaters left in Turkey where the market is dominated by two multiplex movie theater chains. The state has recently privatized the 138 year old building complex to an investment group and mall operator. According to the project the movie theater will be demolished and a shopping mall will be placed in its premises with chain multiplex movie theaters inside.

Selected as the cream of Europe's acting talent, a group of eight SHOOTING STARS 2010 will be spotlighted with their films at the CPH PIX Film Festival in Copenhagen between April 23-25. The festival will present the actors together with their films, involving the young talent in various activities and bringing them into contact with international filmmakers and key persons from the Danish film industry. Most of the SHOOTING STARS 2010 will present their films at CPH PIX in person.

BucharEST International Film Festival: 20-25 April. Guest of honour will be Russian director Andrei Konchalovsky who will be presenting a retrospective of his films.
